Passionate fans of the actress are demanding that a individual who jumped a barricade and seized the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating clip depicts the Australian man bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though legal records revealed that he was due to appear on the following morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Well-being

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote another comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of fans had gathered in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-part adaptation of the popular stage musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful movie of last year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, earning a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
